On January 6, 2008 The Heritage Players lost a dear friend and fellow thespian, Deborah Wessolek.
Deb appeared in numerous plays in the Pittsburgh area, both with The Heritage Players and the Seton Players, amassing an impressive acting resume. Her favorite role was Claree in "Steel Magnolias" (the character made famous by Olympia Dukakis in the movie version). At the end of 2005, she put on the director's hat for a production of "Never Too Late."
Some of the plays and musicals Deb appeared in for The Heritage Players were "Jesus Christ Superstar" and Neil Simon's "Rumors" in 2003, "Pasta, Passion, & Pistols - Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre" in 2004, "Annie" in 2005 and "The Dining Room" in 2007. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
We lost a great friend, and our condolences go out to her family.
